0We are so excited to shoot Lauri and Mark’s wedding this Spring! Here’s a look from our engagement session with this fun-loving couple at the Hatley Castle. It was a fun session indeed – especially when Lucy, their furry friend, decided to do her business in the middle of a shot. What a frame! We had to include it
. Looking forward to the wedding. Enjoy the photos.

0It’s been a week of catching up and making sure we haven’t missed a post that’s worth sharing. This fall family session of the Gately family is definitely one.
After a few rescheduled dates due to rainy weather, I managed to get my great friends Maria and Chris to wrangle their daughters for a last-minute booking to take advantage of a beautiful afternoon. I absolutely love the matching purple toques and white winter coats on their two gorgeous little girls. Enjoy these highlights from our fun session!

0Shooting Carmelle and Rey’s engagement session was the funnest part of our Sunday a few weeks ago. This couple had so many special places in town that we came up with a gazillion ideas together. After hearing their engagement story, we thought it would be awesome to first visit the spot where Rey proposed — the Inn at Laurel Point. Here, we spent time by the tree where he popped the question, including a nearby gazebo where Carmelle was initially convinced was going to be “the spot.” We like that he threw her off and decided to walk a few yards instead ![]()
Despite the chilly weather and questionable clouds, Carmelle and Rey toughed it out and were only full of smiles and laughs. We hung out at Clover Point and Beacon Hill Park and finished up our session at Starbucks, where they stop quite often to fuel themselves up with java.
These lovebirds will tie the knot in July. Keep an eye out for their wedding photos!

0I have known Sara and her family for a couple of years, after meeting her through my husband. The two of them are colleagues and good friends. When she asked me to photograph her family portraits this year, I was super happy and excited to work with them!
We had a fun session around Beacon Hill Park in gorgeous weather, playing in the leaves and climbing trees. I absolutely loved each of her sons’ energy and outgoing personality. Meet the loving men in her life: husband Leigh, oldest son Caleb, and younger son Ryen.

0Ever since we partnered up to form our photography venture, we have been fortunate to meet clients who have become like good ol’ friends. Scott, Per and Ben have been with us from the very beginning! We met this wonderful family at an open-house event a few years ago and, since then, we have photographed their yearly family portraits.
We were so excited to have gorgeous weather for our fall session this year, compared to the rain we had in the past two years. We had a blast hanging out in the yard of their family home and trying out different poses. My favourites include the fun blanket shot (lots of great smiles from little Ben!) and leaf-toss shot. Check out some highlights from our wonderful morning together.

0Our first fall family session of the season! I spent a lovely afternoon at Knockan Hill Park in Saanich with the Wilmer kidlets, who are such an adorable trio. I have photographed each one of these wonderful kids since they were teeny tiny and was so excited to do it again.
Bensen was his cool, happy self, and I loved Nola’s princess dress that she picked out for the session. Little Lucas was super sweet and full of personality. Mom wanted to replicate a fun pose from last year; however, it did not work out so well this time. One word: chaos. I just have to share the shot on this blog because it makes me laugh every time I see it. Enjoy this post ![]()

0Talk about the perfect “pear”! What a blast we had photographing Candice and James’ pear and gnome themed wedding. The day started with a wonderfully sweet moment as James took his first look at Candice in front of the Hatley Castle. We then continued on to the Royal Colwood Golf Club where the ceremony and reception areas were uniquely decorated with baskets of fresh pears and gnomes to reflect Candice’s love for gnomes and travel. The night ended off with a bumpin’ party and lots of photobooth fun! Congratulations to Candice and James.
